Ethics and Values 
 
Family and community have played a significant role in Tom’s life. A native of Des Moines, Iowa, he met his wife, Barbara, in Missoula, MT, while attending college. They fell in love while working together in the Darkroom of the campus newspaper. Thirty-six years later, they have two grown daughters. One is a Tax Attorney, and the other is a High School Teacher.
 
Tom and Barb raised the kids in Los Angeles, California, and after they graduated college, the kids moved to the Seattle area. Tom & Barb soon followed and now live in Tacoma. 
 
As the Pandemic took hold in 2020, Tom started a Facebook Group to help support local Tacoma businesses. “We Are Local Tacoma.” It now boasts several hundred members and has helped support several restaurants and other vendors. 
 
Performance Under Pressure 
 
After marrying Barbara, the two moved to Hollywood, where Tom spent 32 years producing multi-million dollar TV commercials, filming in 16 countries on six continents. He worked with A-List Celebrities, Elite Professional Athletes, and the Who’s Who of musicians.
 
His work aired during the Super Bowl, the Academy Awards, and many other high-profile network productions. His job was to budget, produce (budget, hire/fire production crews, find locations, cast roles, coordinate art departments) and finish each project on time and within budget.
 
His perseverance, positive mental attitude, and execution are where his negotiation skills were honed and perfected.
