1. Brannan Park

Brannan Park is named after the Brannan family, who lived and worked in the land near Auburn in the 1800s. The park was dedicated to them in 1966, and ever since then it’s only grown in popularity. Local school sports teams come here to play on the baseball complex and soccer field, and people of all ages love to play in the skate park and on the playground (which was recently rebuilt thanks to donations by Delta Air Lines). Brannan also features a looped trail that eventually leads to the Green River.

2. Game Farm Park

Game Farm Park is one of the most popular parks in Auburn. It’s easy to see why. Its wide open fields, well kept play areas and sports fields, and the lovely hills in the background are enticing to single adults and families alike. It’s also close to White River, in case you feel like exploring its banks or listening to the soothing sound of rushing river water. This is a place for everyone to come and play, have fun, and relax.

3. Les Gove Park

Les Gove Park is like something out of a wonderful dream. Not only will you find meadows full of cherry blossom trees direct from Japan, an expansive playground that accommodates disabled children, a softball field, and bocce courts. But there’s also a gymnasium with a rock climbing wall, a library, and a White River history museum! You and your family can spend hours in this park and never become bored.

4. Mary Olson Farm

Step back in time when you visit Mary Olson Farm. This park is actually a working farm, with real farm animals, and buildings from the 1880s that have been completely restored to their functionality. You can come here by yourself or bring your whole family. It’s a fun, hands-on experience unique to Auburn in this part of Washington state. Connect with Auburn’s farmland roots, and educate yourselves about how people like us used to live their everyday lives over a century ago.

5. Roegner Park

This pretty park is a wonderful spot if you’re looking for up-close views of the White River - or a place to ride your horse! That’s right, if you’re a horse owner and you want to go out for a jaunt, check out the hard and soft trails here at Roegner Park. You can stop and rest for a spell at the bench with a built-in salmon design that overlooks the river. If you have kids, they’ll enjoy playing on the equipment in the playground. You can also bring your dogs and let them run around free in the off-leash area.

6. Lewis Lake Nature Park

Lewis Lake Nature Park was created with the goal of preserving the natural environment. Here, you’ll find a lake and a forest, and little else aside from a winding trail, a bench swing, and a footbridge. Come here to observe local birds and small animals, walk among the trees, or simply enjoy the quiet and solitude of the outdoors as they were meant to be experienced: natural and unfettered.

7. Lea Hill Park

Lea Hill Park was made with large groups of people and children in mind. It features a large playground, an area for skating, a basketball court, and an amphitheater area. The park is also home to a wooden picnic shelter that looks like a barn, which can be rented for parties or other events.

8. Sunset Park

Sunset Park is a beautiful, clean park with lots of features that will keep you and your family busy. Here you’ll find a big playground that also includes a toddler area; two softball fields; a basketball court; and a skate park. If walking or jogging is more your speed, check out the trails that wind around the park.

9. Veterans Memorial Park

Veterans Memorial Park was first dedicated in 1926. At the time, it was considered the most updated park in the entire region. Today, it’s still a beautiful place for families and the community to come together. When you visit, be sure to admire the artistic structure built to honor veterans, the ½ basketball court, and the William C. Warren Community Building. The latter holds over 70 people and can be rented out for special events.

10. Fenster Nature Park

Fenster Nature Park is the gateway to a lovely little beach located on the banks of the Green River in Auburn. The gravel trail leading to the river is ⅓ of a mile long; a brisk walk past lots of trees and lush green grass will soon have you looking out over the water.
